Philip joined CDTM’s management team in 2005. In addition to co-leading the change to the new “Elitenetzwerk Bayern” curriculum, Philip expanded CDTM’s international exchange program and initiated various entrepreneurial courses and projects like CDTM’s career fair and the “Buchpfade” project. After his return from a research break in fall 2008, Philip co-led the establishment and funding of CDTM’s competence center in E-Energy and Smart Grids.
After leaving the management team in 2010, he stays involved with CDTM as vice-chairman of the Alumni Club board, editor of the CDTM magazine as well as coach to startups like Stylight and eGym.
Philip studied Business Administration at LMU Munich, Lund University and UC Berkeley and is a graduate of CDTM. Under the supervision of Prof. Harhoff, he earned a doctorate degree from LMU Munich. During his doctorate studies, Philip spent eight months as a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University (in 2008) and six months as a Visiting Researcher at the Columbia Institute of Tele-Information (CITI) at Columbia Business School (in 2010/11).
