Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Health Innovation
CDTM Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Health Innovation
The Project – WE Health
The project “Empowering Women Entrepreneurship in Health Innovation” (WE Health) is a strategic project of the EIT Health CAMPUS Programme that started in 2017. This initiative aims to enhance the participation of women in health innovation and entrepreneurship activities, by providing capacity-building specifically tailored to their needs and by inspiring and supporting them to advance in their professional careers.
The WE Health project looks to fulfill the following objectives:
Developing new activities and services (training and mentoring) tailored to the specific needs of women, taking into account the findings from our own assessment study and a literature review on gender-specific topics;
Creating a space for all interested actors involved in women entrepreneurship and gender issues, through the design and setting up of a Network of Women Health Innovators.
Raising awareness of the need of more women-led start-ups and women health leaders, by means of new communications tools and content.
The project partners are: IESE Business School, Imperial College London, Karolinska Institutet, Technische Universität München and P.A.U. Education.
