Maximilian Engelken
Maximilian Engelken studied industrial engineering and management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT (former University of Karlsruhe). He specialized in renewable energy technologies, logistics and finance and spent an academic year abroad in Italy at the Università degli Studi di Padova. His diploma thesis written at the Fraunhofer-Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg discusses the topic of local manufacturing in solar energy projects in North Africa.
Besides his studies Maximilian gathered relevant work experience at companies such as Bosch Italia, Deutsche Bahn ML AG, Schaeffler China and The Royal Bank of Scotland. His strong interest in entrepreneurship motivated him to found the entrepreneurial student society “PionierGarage” at the KIT.
Maximilian is especially interested in renewable and smart grid technologies and related business models. He joined the CDTM management team in 2011.
