Gesa Biermann studied Sustainable Resource Management (M.Sc.) at TU München and Universidad de Buenos Aires as well as Communication Science with a minor in Business Administration and Economics (B.A.) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. For her master’s studies, she majored in Agricultural Land-Use Systems as well as Water and Soil Management.In parallel to her studies, Gesa gained practical experience at A.T. Kearney in Salzburg, Audi Electronics Venture in Ingolstadt, and BMW in Beijing, China. Furthermore, she co-founded a fashion brand in 2012 and the Munich branch of 180 Degrees Consulting – a university-based consultancy for non-profit and socially minded organizations – in 2015.Gesa joined the CDTM management team in 2016 and is now conducting her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Henrike Rau of the Chair of Human-Environment Relations, Faculty of Geosciences, at the LMU Munich. Within her research, Gesa explores influences and interventions on sustainable dietary choices and food waste.
